How Brandt HVAC Co Las Vegas Was Born in Las Vegas

Devin Marlowe spent the early part of his working life watching something that didn’t sit right. He’d see neighbors in Las Vegas get quoted one price on the phone and handed a very different invoice when the work was done. He’d hear about a simple capacitor swap being billed like a full system rebuild. And he’d shake his head. Not because it was surprising. Because in this city, it had somehow become normal.

In 2003, Devin decided normal wasn’t good enough for Las Vegas. He signed on with Brandt HVAC, a brand with deep roots and a name that traces back to an old family word for a firebrand, and agreed to hold his location to the Threshold Standard. That meant one thing above all: put the price in writing before any work begins. No surprises. No door-shock. Every neighbor gets the same deal, whether they live in Summerlin or Winchester or off Nellis Boulevard. The Las Vegas branch was built on a simple idea, and it’s the idea Devin still runs on: show the customer who’s coming, what it costs, and why it’s worth it. That’s not complicated. It’s just honest.

Devin Marlowe’s Personal Connection to the HVAC Trade

Devin didn’t grow up dreaming about evaporator coils. He grew up in a place where heat wasn’t a luxury. It was a presence. The kind of dry, pressing heat that makes the air shimmer over asphalt and turns a parked car into an oven. When he was young, he remembers standing in front of a rattling window unit in the middle of a Las Vegas summer, feeling it push out air that was barely cooler than the room. It smelled like dust and hot metal. It was loud enough that you had to raise your voice to talk over it. And even then, it was the best part of the day.

That moment stuck with him. Not because of the machine. Because of what it meant when it finally gave out. When the cooling stopped, the house didn’t just get warm. It got quiet in a way that felt wrong. Meals got shorter. Tempers got shorter too. He learned early that heating and cooling isn’t a luxury trade. It’s the trade that makes a house livable when the sun is doing its worst.

Devin came to HVAC work the way a lot of people do: he wanted to fix things that mattered. He trained under tradesmen who had been doing the work for decades, in attics that hit 140 degrees and on rooftops where the sun bounced off every surface. The work was hard on the body, but it was clear in a way other jobs weren’t. A system was either running right or it wasn’t. Air was moving or it wasn’t. You could hear the difference, feel it on your skin. There was no ambiguity to hide behind.

What gets Devin out of bed isn’t the equipment. It’s the relief on someone’s face when the cool air comes back on after a long day without it. It’s the older homeowner who doesn’t have to worry that the person at the door is going to take advantage of them. If he weren’t doing this, he’d probably still be working with his hands somewhere, fixing things, solving problems one at a time. But HVAC is where he landed, and Las Vegas is where he stayed.

Meet Devin Marlowe – The Person Behind Every Job

Devin Marlowe is the Owner & Founder of Brandt HVAC Co Las Vegas. He has spent more than two decades in the HVAC trade, most of it in the Las Vegas Valley, working across neighborhoods from Aliante to Spring Valley to Centennial Hills. His training was earned the old way: on the job, under the supervision of experienced tradesmen, learning the difference between a system that’s patched and a system that’s fixed. His location is state-licensed, insured, and bonded.

Devin isn’t a franchise technician in a rented truck. He’s a local operator who lives with the same summer heat, the same hard water, and the same dust that his customers deal with. When he says a system needs a repair, he means it. When he quotes a price, he stands behind it. In his off hours, Devin likes to take things apart and put them back together better than he found them. Some people call that a hobby. It’s really just who he is. His commitment to every customer is direct: if the job isn’t right, it isn’t finished.

Our Promise to Las Vegas Homeowners

Every job we take gets a written price before any work starts. Not an estimate scribbled on a scrap of paper. A real, line-by-line written price, the kind you can hold in your hand and compare later. That’s the Threshold Standard, and it’s been the rule at Brandt HVAC since the beginning, in 2003.

We use quality parts and we don’t cut corners to pad a margin. When we install something, we install it the way we’d want it in our own home, which in Las Vegas means accounting for dust, for extreme heat, and for systems that run harder here than they do almost anywhere else in the country. If something we installed doesn’t hold up, we make it right. Not because a policy says we have to. Because that’s the only way a local business survives in a city where word travels fast.

Our Credentials

  • State-licensed – required to hold the HVAC license the state of Nevada mandates for this work
  • Insured and bonded – required to carry the coverage that protects your home and property
  • More than two decades of local experience – the same team has been serving the Las Vegas Valley since 2003
  • The Threshold Standard – every technician is background-checked and identity-verified before they ever step onto your property

Here’s why that matters. When you hire someone to work inside your home, you’re not just hiring a pair of hands. You’re trusting a stranger with your family’s comfort and your safety. A license means that person has proven their competence to the state. Insurance and bonding mean that if something goes wrong, you’re not left holding the bill. The Threshold Standard means the person at your door is exactly who we told you to expect: background-checked, identity-verified, and wearing a photo ID badge. In Las Vegas, where the heat can turn a broken AC into a health problem within hours, you don’t want to gamble on credentials.

Rooted in Las Vegas

We work in the neighborhoods where our customers live, from Summerlin South to Paradise to Whitney, and we know the quirks of each area. The dust out near Nellis AFB. The hard water in North Las Vegas. The afternoon heat that builds differently in Sunrise Manor than it does higher up in the foothills. We didn’t parachute in from somewhere else. Brandt HVAC Co Las Vegas is an independent local business operating under the Threshold Group family of brands, and we run our location like the locals we are. When a Las Vegas homeowner calls, they get a live coordinator who knows the area, and a team that has been working these streets since this branch opened. That’s not a marketing slogan. It’s just the way we do business.
