Furnace Igniter Replacement in Summerlin

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
Furnace igniter before replacement, Summerlin

The furnace would click but never catch flame. A failed hot-surface igniter, a common wear item on Carrier and Trane furnaces in the valley, where dry winters mean the heat gets used in fits and starts. We replaced the igniter with an OEM part, tested full cycle ignition five times, and confirmed clean flame sense readings. Heat came on within two minutes of the first call. Most furnace igniter replacements in Las Vegas run $150 to $300, parts and labor included.

AC Condenser Deep Clean and Coil Service in Henderson

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
AC condenser before coil cleaning, Henderson

This Lennox unit sat under a mesquite tree and the coil was packed with fine dust and pollen. Head pressure was creeping up and cooling had dropped noticeably in the early afternoon, which is exactly when a Las Vegas AC earns its keep. We pulled the disconnect, washed the coil with a non-acidic cleaner, straightened a few fins, and cleared the drain line. Discharge air temperature dropped 9 degrees while standing at the register.

AC Capacitor Rescue in Centennial Hills

BeforeBeforeAfterAfter
AC capacitor showing failure signs, Centennial Hills

The compressor would hum but not start, then the breaker tripped. Classic bulged capacitor, pushed over the edge by a 110 degree stretch in July. We ohmed out the old capacitor, confirmed it was far out of spec, and installed a dual-run replacement rated for the heat. The system fired up and held temperature through the next heat wave without complaint. In this market, a capacitor that fails in late June is about as predictable as a full parking lot at Red Rock Canyon.

Furnace Burner Assembly Cleanup in Spring Valley

Two HVAC technicians installing a residential air conditioning unit
Furnace burner assembly before cleaning, Spring Valley

Homeowner reported a smell like gas every time the furnace kicked on. A Rheem unit with burners sooted over from seasons of use. The burners were removed, brushed, and inspected for cracks. The flame sensor got a proper cleaning, and we checked the heat exchanger for any sign of rollout. Burners lit clean blue and the sulfur smell disappeared. We left the customer with a written note on what we checked and what the guarantee covers for 365 days.

AC Drain Pan and Evaporator Service in North Las Vegas

Technician using a multimeter to perform professional residential air conditioning repair
Evaporator coil and drain pan before service, North Las Vegas

Water on the garage floor and a shutoff float switch that kept killing the call for cooling. The primary drain line was blocked with sludge, common in homes where the AC runs 9 months of the year. We cleared the line, flushed the pan, treated the coil to remove biofilm, and replaced the float switch that had corroded from hanging in standing water. The system drained freely and cooled to the set point without tripping.

Full AC Tune-Up on a 14-Year-Old York System in Green Valley

HVAC technician performing professional air conditioner repair and maintenance service
AC system before seasonal maintenance, Green Valley

This York had not been touched in years. The owner called because the system sounded louder than they remembered. We found low refrigerant, a clogged filter dryer, and a fan motor pulling high amps. We recharged the system to spec after a leak check, replaced the filter dryer, and tested the motor. Running amps dropped back to normal range and the system quieted down. We wrote up everything with the flat maintenance price agreed to before we started.
